This morning our Dr. Leroy McCloud Elementary School students were joined by officers from our Englewood Police Department in the “Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day”
62 years ago today, (November 14, 1960) 6-year-old Ruby Bridges was the first African-American child to desegregate the all-white William Frantz Elementary School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
