🔢 Unlocking the Power of Math with MBK! 🔢
The Englewood Public School District’s My Brother’s Keeper Speakers’ Series continued with an eye-opening session featuring Bill Crombie and Ben Moynihan from The Algebra Project, Quincy Dawson, Director of Youth Mathematics Literacy Initiatives, and Elijah Parmalee, an FDU Engineering student collaborating with DMHS Math Teachers on the Accessible Calculus Project.
Guided by insightful facilitation from Jamil Perry and Amari Roots, this powerful discussion explored how mathematics extends beyond the classroom—transforming into a vital tool for innovation, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. Our young men left inspired, gaining a deeper appreciation for math as a gateway to careers in engineering, technology, and beyond.
A huge thank you to our esteemed speakers for igniting a passion for math and empowering our MBK mentees with the knowledge and confidence to embrace the endless possibilities ahead! 🚀📊
