Happy Holidays

Dear Englewood Public School District Staff,

As we approach the holiday season, I would like to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for the dedication and hard work you’ve shown in supporting our students. Your tireless efforts do not go unnoticed, and I deeply appreciate all you do.

I wish everyone a peaceful and restful winter break, filled with joy and reflection. To those celebrating Bodhi Day, Winter Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanzaa, may your celebrations be joyous and surrounded by the warmth of friends and family.

As we embrace the holidays, we also reflect on the year that has passed. For the Englewood School Community, 2024 has been a year of both triumphs and challenges. During this time of celebration, let us remember the friends and family of our beloved EPSD staff members who are no longer with us: Elizabeth Rosa, Dr. Daniela Small-Bailey, and Mindy Rochman. The holidays can be especially difficult for their families, and we want to continue to uplift and support them in our thoughts.

May this season be one of peace and renewal and may we all find moments of comfort as we spend time with loved ones. Thank you once again for your unwavering commitment to our students and community.

Carpe diem,

Dr. Marnie Hazelton
Superintendent of Schools
